HQ Thoughts: "Boy meets girl with some pretty good horrific moments. A bit slow but I think worth the watch on a late night. Definitely going to get a few scares out of it!

Evan is sad because his family moved out of the city into a slow paced wooded area. The house is said to be haunted, so of course the parents took it on a good deal.

He eventually began to roam around the newly purchased premises and finds a girl (amazingly) sitting in the woods. Decisions here makes the film what is because I do believe any person in their 'right' mind would have just left it all alone- yet we will give him a pass for living in the boonies! 

I just want to get a few PERSONAL concerns out about her before I move on. WHY IS SHE SO DAMN RUDE? (you'll see what I mean...)

She gets a LOT comfortable right away and they both start to look through the house to find a spirit communicator that works, and the good stuff begins. As hard as I tried to figure out the twist- I will say that this one stumped me until the very end...

This film is basically a horror/love story due to the character attachment you tend to inadvertently build as the film moves along. I actually enjoyed it for what it's worth.

I caught myself talking a lot at the screen and the ending left me stumped and mad and Grrr! Let's just say that. I think it's worth a watch. Not a bad film but could have definitely been better executed."

HQ Thoughts: "I screamed more than I am comfortable admitting. This movie was full of twists and turns and I absolutley didn't expect the ending. SO MUCH FUN!

Nicole arrives first to the childhood home of her and her sister Annie, who (btw) is adamant about not going to their mothers' funeral because of the horrible things she had done to them in the past.

After not hearing from Nicole for a few days, Annie decides to show up anyway only to find the house abandoned. Things begin to get creepy almost right away.

What seems like a revisited bad childhood film quickly turns into a ghost story/mystery/scream fest with some serious bumps in the night.

After coming across some secrets that their mother hid for years, things begin to come together as we realize we aren't just dealing with memories anymore.

This movie is serious! I watched with every light on only to find that I still had my arms over my head in fear. It's dark, quiet, weird and most importantly; SCARY AS HELL! I highly recommend!!!"

HQ Thoughts: "Time has passed since this film was deemed the first of it's kind to explore such a macabre scientific 'what if '. Now that the Final Sequence is coming upon us, I thought that maybe we could revisit the beginning of a franchise that is sure to make your stomach curdle.

Everyone that I took the time to watch this with (and I've seen it plenty) they all seem to be mad at the fact that this movie is so sick and disgusting. I'm usually shocked because the beauty of this film is that there is little to absolutely NO GORE in this film. Just the idea. Sounds, medical visuals and an outcome of success is all you get and it's enough to make you squirm.

2 girls are unfortunate enough to have their car break down in Dr. Heiter's backyard and are invited in, in effort to help... or so we think. They are led to a makeshift basement where a Japanese man was already being held captive and the horrors begin there.

Dr. Heiter doesn't fall short on the dialogue, where in some cases he creates a sense of disgust while explaining jovially his intentions to create a human centipede attached via gastric systems. WTF???

There are some gems here like "FEEED HIM!" and "Now I Will Make You The Middle Piece" that tend to spearhead some of my inside jokes.... O man you will see what I mean. I adore this original and hear that the 2 set to follow suit (Full Sequence is out already, Final is said to be ready by 2014) are gory and beyond the limits of this. We shall see."

HQ Thoughts: "Also known as "A l'interieur", this film goes to every length to make it as uneasy and uncomfortable as possible while trying to make it through.

Never have I witnessed a movie as such, involving women. This is extremely violent, brutal and simply vicious- NONSTOP! Society has always had a thing for 'protecting' pregnant women, and if you are 1 of those sensitive folks.. This movie is NOT for you. 

Having been in a car accident that kills her husband during her pregnancy, Sarah goes through a serious battle of depression and is trying to take it as easy as possible before the birth of her baby. Things take a bad turn almost immediately after she gets a knock at the door only to find a woman (The Woman) is at her door. 

The brutality was a hard one to sit through because I just had a baby myself, HOWEVER I am a tough cookie and this movie has NO fucking happy endings in sight!!! Again, the lengths to which The Woman goes to get her form of vengeance is relentless and I definitely wasn't expecting the outcome. Gave me the chills! 

Watch it and take it for what it's worth because everyone- the baby, the mom, YOU will suffer. You won't be able to shake the visuals for a while."

HQ Thoughts: "Halle has played everything from a drug addict to CatWoman but in this film, she is a criminal psych who mysteriously wakes up in a cell in her own ward after blacking out one day at home. When she wakes up, she realizes that she is the Numero Uno suspect in the brutal hacking death of her husband, another prominent figure in this small town.

The story is super dark with the likes of Robert Downey Jr. reversing his role and taking her on as his client to further try to find out why she took the hatchet to her husband. Halle gives a believable psychotic trip as she tries to maintain her real sanity while being tormented by a twisted ghost who seems to be trying to tell her something.

Clean, sharp movie with decent twists that are well written. Goes to show you how it's all in who you know. Good watch!"

HQ Thoughts: "Well, what a pleasant surprise. You probably won't find this movie online with the best ratings because I'm guaranteeing that they probably didn't understand what they just saw therefore passing it off as a "bad" film. Hell, even I had to think about it for about an hour after watching it, it's just that cerebral with a fair bit of blood and fright.

Mary is in the middle of a divorce from a nasty, abusive husband and she moves back to Puerto Rico (the entire film was shot there) to start a new life. She manages to go back to school, meet a new male friend and oh yea, can't forget the crazy lady that calls constantly!!!

The calls turn out to be a lot more than expected when whatever directives Rose (the caller) gives over the phone apparently affects the current future, which seems to work in Mary's favor a little later on. Mary does whatever she can not to make her mad but once you learn the back story, you will understand how it all ties in.

This movie is one hell of an ingenious trip, just because it didn't get mass promotion and theater play, I would still agree that this director did a hell of a job making a simple concept as deep and scary as he managed to do with this. I love dark movies about psychosis. Good watch."

HQ Thoughts: "I ran across this awesome film after a brief word of mouth recommendation that I am happy I didn't pass up. This is one hell of a ride that starts off immediately with a young girl escaping what seems to be a dungeon of some sort. She is beat to the core and so mentally fucked that she barely talks or interacts normally.

She meets a best friend... they grow up and pretty much protect each other until her demons get the best of her and she goes out for her own form of revenge. And that is just the first 20 mins!!! 

What happens after, not even the most seasoned horror buff can imagine!

Brutal isn't the word, scenes literally had me holding my breath. This film is original, super twisted and takes you to a new plateau of horror. Fast paced and excellent until the end."

HQ Thoughts: "When I first saw this, my first reaction was "Whoa! That was brutal" This is a story, involving pubescent kids, a fucked government and survival in which, the survival part is set in a way purely for the governments pleasure. 

Everyone is pretty much sent out with a mystery bag and a dog collar that senses movement and plays as a GPS device. If you go too far, boom goes your head. !!! WTF man, these are KIDS! The visual is gritty but they follow each kid with a cool system that keeps you concerned and curious. No names, just gender and number.

OK, well so much for a social experiment, who you thought were your friends, now know your very weakness. Original deaths, dark weird funny moments (if you're a job like myself) and freaky! Good adrenaline inducing flick w/ crazy adolescents."
