HQ Thoughts: "Just disgusting. This is a hilarious take on a B movie with a huge focus on funny. 

A small town gets hit with a meteorite which releases these little worms like creatures which invades the human body and mutates them into a zombie (but violent/hungry) state.

There are no shortcuts taken here with the directors hitting it right on the mark with the most vile visuals that are bound to interrupt the senses. Zombies are my absolute fave (as mentioned in previous posts) and this movie touched my heart! It definitely doesn't fail to disappoint.

If you can sit through this without wondering WTF a few times, along with some O GOSH(s) down the line, then you are not normal but this will go down in cult history- worth a few watches for sure. I love this film!"

HQ Thoughts: "I want to believe that this could have been a better movie. I enjoyed the premise but execution wasn't great. A few friends traveled far and wide to get a hold of some special mushrooms for a trip they might not remember. 

Campfire tales are shared of an old religious sect that used to torture children and it all went downhill from there. After eating a bad shroom, Tara starts to encounter bad hallucinations of all of her friends getting killed by these horrible figures. 

For whatever it's worth, everyone gets knocked off some way or another and it gets super confusing until the very end- the "Aha!" moment. 

Not the greatest but able to get through it. You can appreciate this original from 2007 (7 yrs ago) and I'm sure someone has done it better since. I'll find it."

HQ Thoughts: "It's been a while and what a way to reignite the horror?! Alyce is one screwed up chick who made a big mistake and was never able to come back from it. 

As the trailer mentions, Alyce accidentally knocked Carroll off the roof and walked away without helping. Since then, she puts herself in some of the most sadistic situations where it involves violence, sex and plenty of drugs, nothing helps the guilt she is dealing with.

It is not until she attends Carroll's funeral that she absolutely loses it and goes on a hell of a rampage. Can we say MONOTONE though? She has no feeling, she doesn't care, it's over. I'm SO MESSED UP AFTER WATCHING THIS!

Some horror films are meant to be fun, some are even considered family friendly- a good ol' time. This film is not even close. Enjoy and take a deep breath after. "
